Bitches in Paris

In a strange manic state I decided  I wanted to go to Paris. This actually happened.
When I first thought of it I wanted to step on the first train leaving, by myself. Eventually I booked two weeks in advance and went with my better half; Layla. Like I would ever do something on my own.
The main purpose of the trip was step out of our own boring lives and live like wealthy parisiennes, this we achieved in almost every way except for dinner (pizza in bed) and for drinks, as in we didn't get in Silencio (David Lynche's club, which is very exclusive). Also the hotel was nothing fancy, but compared to a room you have to share with 6 strangers, it was very luxurious. Oh and of course the terrible  bus trip.
Other then that, I have never spent more money on coffee in my life, warehouse staff was never so nice to me, never have so many people complimented me on the street and NEVER EVER has a (cute) POLICE OFFICER honked his horn at me only to smile and wave.

So we did feel rich and famous and not so bored as usual. This is probably the reason why we only had one tiny bottle of wine and one beer this whole vacation.

Its funny how a short trip can really change your perspective on your life, mostly in a positive way. It also kind of changed my style, I bought some new things of course and those things inspire me to stop buying crap at HnM but go for quality. I want to have a more grown up, sophisticated style and I also think that translates to how I want to live my life; like a grown up.

Berlin

Hello!
Haven't been bloggin' for a while, AGAIN. But now I finally have internet at home!

My lovely Boris and I just got back from Berlin and I'm not going to tell you everything we did because that is quite boring for me to do.
I am going to tell you that we went to museums (something I never did before when I was there) and to the Zoo. My favorite was the Ramones museum and the Zoo.
I also bought shoes and some clothes which I'm prettttyyy pleased with.
We drank cocktails, had lovely food (we ate Sudanese!) and went out Berlin style (kinda, because we danced all night until it was light the real Berlin style is like...3 nights I think).
We also went to Kopi and a feminist band show (!?!?!?!?)

Boris had a friend from Iowa living there so we hung out with her a bit at Tiki Bar and at Tiergarten.
It was nice to meet her.
She was very different but I think we got a long quite well.

I also finally learned to read books, and now I'm hooked!

Long story short; had a lot of new experiences and saw new things but also went back to a lot of things we liked from the previous times we were there.

Berlin has a great vibe and Boris and I would really want to live there in a year or so.
I do like Amsterdam but I like that Berlin is bigger and has bit more of an edge to it, which maybe fits me more.
We'll see...it's always different when you're on vacation and the grass is always greener somewhere else.

Here are some outfits I wore in Berlin!

Maybe I'll post some vacation pics later.

Time to get back to real life again. Have to leave for work!

When summer was still here

Summer is good as gone, but I do have these pictures to look back on when summer was still here.

I also still got to get my Lowlands camera developed. I love with disposables!

9th of September is coming up, which means Boris and I have almost been together for 2 years! Still it scares me a bit, 2 years is so long. I hope we last a lot more years.
Boris is in his hometown Koog aan de Zaan now, babysitting on his dog. Quite boring without him but I'm going over there Tuesday evening after work. I can't stay very long because I have to work every weekend. Oh well, he's been here for like 2 months non stop so I should survive.
Don't like the fact that when school starts again, we probably won't see each other so often, but then I've got school to keep me busy.
